Christmas Break - Part 3

After the New Year adventures, my friends decided they should be more productive... rude. Anyway, so it was solo time again. Except for the time one friend and I explored Brick Lane
and got delicious and cheap which is the best combo - delicious not just because they were cheap sandwiches... salted beef on a 'beigel' - amazing. In other news, I got a lot done on my research project, and prep for the new term. And, organising other resolutions. Etc. Boring stuff but I was really impressed that I did actual work... haha. OH! And my institute classes have started again, which is wonderful. I have missed having the learning and stimulation I guess. And the structure - having plans and getting stuff done.

Friday I had another wonderful dinner with my friends down in Bromley, or we went to "my" home in England. I have slippers and everything. And they are letting me practice my chopsticks, which is essential for me as now I am part Chinese. Obviously. And we had an amazing conversation, for hours, about so many different things - I left feeling stronger and really happy.

Yesterday, I spent the day up in Birmingham practising for the Lamb of God production (composed by Rob Gardner). My voice is a bit tired today but the music is powerful and I am grateful for it, and for the time I could spend getting to know more people.

And as I write this on 11 January, 2015 (or 12 Jan, since it is rather late / early) - my London family was basically complete today at church. The only problem is that I have more friends than I can talk to, even spending about 9 hours with them at church. It's a good problem to have, but I wish I could have talked to them and gotten to know even more people... Well, I did! I am getting better at meeting new people.

This last month has been so wonderful. I am so glad I could spend some time going over it all, I had forgotten how much had happened, and the memories of the wonderful people in my life. I am so grateful that there is so much love and strength here. I am truly watched over and cared for. And I can work on remembering that more often - instead of dwelling on the times where I've been a bit too lazy, or made too many cookies... as if that could happen.

End of the Narrative that is my Christmas Break Adventure... Good Times. Haha

I didn't actually take many pictures during this time. But look at my new jumper! It was about $6.50, and I love it... mostly because it is really comfortable. ALSO I am teaching my ward a dance class pretty soon but don't know what style yet. We'll see. But if you're reading this and have an opinion I'd like to hear it.

I also bought two new dresses, and wore one to church today - bringing my grand total to about $35, one is a pure silk dress, which will be hard to clean but it sure is pretty, and a nice thin wool (not scratchy!), black dress. Anyway. That's that.

**Note** the entire reason it is not listed in Great British Pounds... is because I don't have the key on my keyboard, and don't feel like looking it up again... haha but also because later when I read this I will forget the conversion rate. It's 1:20 am here so it's time for bed!
