Let's see. Well, today I went to Leicester for another rehearsal and finally remembered why Leicester was important. Haha. Anyway, it's where they found Richard the III, in a car park a couple years ago? Anyway, I thought it was cool. So that's Leicester - and must be why train tickets there are way more expensive than to Birmingham... ? Speaking of, and random, but this just was announced. Coincidence? Obviously not... (Richard the III news...)
Sometimes I forget I live in Central London. Related - I am still not used to my building being a tourist attraction. There are all these walking tours that stop at my building, sometimes 3 at a time, because Jack the Ripper's last victim was living here ... pre- her ...murder. Or something. Actually, not a lot is known but that's what you'd hear on the tours as you take a picture of my flat. :)
Also, if you find this monster, Clive, please contact them. He's been lost for quite some time now as I took this picture a while ago... haha. Found it on our way to hear our friend's band play in Covent Garden - Drury Lane, which is where the Muffin Man lives... no muffins were there though, which was clearly an oversight.
Paul is my favourite. And look at that. Blue sky. :)
These are some of my buddies, we're waiting for a bus in Leicester, not from today though. But still fun.
This is from the time my friend Molly and I wandered around Southbank, trying to find a movie showing "The Theory of Everything" but couldn't even though it shouldn't have been that hard. Haha - but we did have a grand time, then were really hungry and saw a Subway. So we caved. And it was delicious. Oh- then we saw this, I don't know the significance but it was fun. So I took a picture.
Percy Pigs - they look kind of gross but tasted good.
My friends' band and official photographer. I made her a badge...
SPRING! These beautiful flowers cropped up in the grass at Lincoln's Inn Fields - and made my walk from the Tube to school so beautiful and I was reminded there was good in the world. :)
I am getting a lot better at chopsticks. And this food was pretty delicious.
This picture is representative only - though I did take it myself - See, there was an eclipse the other day and I am sure it would have been spectacular to see. Unfortunately, I live in London and it was cloudy. It was darker than normal, I think - may be biased - anyway, I took this picture in 2012 actually when I saw an eclipse in Utah... Ok.
This is representative too - I am getting my dissertation up, and if you were one of about 13 friends who took my pilot survey you saw this image. If you didn't take it, no worries. I had to close it early and make some changes. Well, I'm still working on those changes actually. The point is, I'm working on my final project, and it is pretty crazy to think about.
My dear friend Tara is in this production of Handel's Giove in Argo. It was actually my first ever opera, well, real one, and was so fun to see my friend doing what she loves. The music was incredible, I found the story a little odd... but still very fun. And that brings us back to today - where I had a full day rehearsal up in Leicester.
Tomorrow is my friend Tara's birthday, and I am really excited about that. We're making brunch and she has a birthday cake for breakfast tradition, which sounds fun. Hopefully you'll get to see pictures - but that's in the future... so stay tuned.
Also in upcoming events: I am going to Portugal on Monday and then we're going to Harry Potter-Land-World-Studios, and then I'm up to Sunderland for Lamb of God, and then... later on in the month my friends and I are going to Morocco. All while working on my research project, two papers, and another project. And all the church activities. Crazy. It is fun. But when I say I'm busy, I promise I'm not exaggerating. :)
PS Sorry for the rambling post, it's all I have time for. And it will be embarrassing and fun to read later. So... there you go!
