My friends and I threw a surprise party for our friend Colin who is getting married later this week! Back in Utah... so it was a farewell / congrats / engagement surprise party. Anyway. He loves to plan things for his friends, so the first part of the day we let him think he was planning the whole thing. Haha! We had a wonderful picnic in the park, some kickball, and then they walked back to his house - where a few of us (snuck away early...decorated...) were waiting. Surprise! My friend Karyn was the official photographer, so I don't have any of that actually happening... but he was really surprised and loved it. We then also celebrated with some sparklers, and the United States Flag - and some ice cream floats - they don't really sell root beer here though, so some improv but it was fun. Then, what's more in the tradition of American Independence than watching illegal fireworks in London? We came across some people - apparently only one was American - who helped us celebrate. What a fun day!
My dear friend Jess and I made a rap video... cover... joke as part of the surprise for Colin. Limp Bizkit's "My Generation." Yes, I have a copy. No, I am not putting it on the internet no matter how much my friends say it was "endearing" and "cute". Haha.
