I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now... so I can't take too long. Basically, my life these days consists just of trying to balance everything - my school load is getting more intense, my church life is quite time consuming, trying to have a social life and see London is a bit hard to manage. But once a week, I have been able to take a brief break and see more than a computer screen, notebook, or the tube... haha.
Let's just put up some pictures, they're worth a 1000 words each and are more fun to look at... but I don't have too much time to organize or explain them.
This little guy is at the station by my flat
The other day we had a really fun potluck with the people in my program. So much delicious food!
Last weekend I was able to help out at the first London YSA Chinese Convention!
Mom taught me well how to make snowflakes. I've been teaching people here in London, too!
My friend Molly and I made a whole bunch the other day
Thanksgiving! I still haven't had a traditional dinner but my friend Brittany and I went out for pizza... which is basically the same thing... haha
Oh! And then we had to get a cupcake... it was Thanksgiving and we wanted a treat... We still had class like normal and have a huge paper that is killing me... so a cupcake trip was needed... :)
We had a fun culture night!
After the culture night, a few of us went to the Winter Wonderland - it was a big carnival, with roller coasters, lots of treats and ways to spend all your money, and of course, so many people! It was a challenge trying to keep track of everyone... but it was fun too.
I've made a lot of cookies lately... And each time they turn out different... it is a mystery. Or, I guess it could be that I haven't used a recipe in a while. I liked the cookie dough better... but the cookies were good too.
Dixon is a chef and a photographer. Yum! These were amazing, and it was only the first course! We had risotto and candied squash, and all sorts of delicious things. It was basically Thanksgiving Dinner even though the dishes weren't 'traditional.'
Molly playing the piano! She's amazing!
Karyn was in charge of the lights. (Louise and I were instrumental in de-tangling the lights... we helped. haha)
Dixon put the star on top! It's official now.
Merry Christmas! (a 'wee bit' early)

Now I want to celebrate Christmas in London! Love you! Keep posting. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen! Christmas in London is quite fun. You should come and see it. You know, when I moved here, everyone said they were going to come visit me - but no one has... but you totally should. Haha. Love you too!
